Hi guys I am only a newb and single light owner( not collector) and will get into deep water if I try and get too technical. But basically I am chasing a new light to basically exceed the performance and/or battery life of my armytek predator v2.5 with Xp-G2 at 670 lumens(smooth reflector, 5 deg hotspot, 40 deg spill). This beam effect really does it for me for hunting and night hiking and I just wanted the 'next level' of the same or similar.Maybe pushing to an extra 30-50 yards and an extra 20-30 mins life without going too lumens crazy. Thanks if anyone can suggest a light that might fit the bill or specs I could ask a custom modder to arrange for me. As it stands I am not technical enough to know what to even ask for, but know what effect I would like. (Hopefully that has come across in the above)

For the money I would take a look at the Maxtoch 2X. Its a really well built light that incorporates the ideas of the members over on the budget light forum and seems to be a great thrower. 1400 lumens, 365k candela and costs 95 bucks

A 26650 based light can easily exceed your existing light's lumens and throw. Consider lights like the Acebeam EC60, Manker U21, Olight R50 and its variations, or Acebeam EC50 Gen II.

Thanks guys looks like steering towards a nitecore EC4GT 2x 18650 with 1000 lumens and 55000 cd. Should fit the bill.
