Hi,

I am trying to decide between the following two flashlights and would appreciate your opinion please:

Fenix PD35 2014 (Cree XM-L2 U2 LED - 960 lumens)
Nitecore Explorer EC20 (Cree XM-L2 T6 LED - 960 lumens)

If possible, please confirm the difference between both Cree LEDs, i.e. U2 and T6

Thanks.

EC20 has a moonlight mode and a low battery/voltage indicator, and can tail-stand. None of which the PD35 has.

I have the EC20 and the old PD35. I love both flashlights, EC20 is a great EDC, the voltaje reader and lowest mode is an advantaje of EC20, and can tailstand. But nonetheless, I think Fenix PD35 is better flashlight (better still the 2014 version) than EC20. Pd35 is a superior range of flashlight.

If I had to choose only one, Fenix.

Hi,I have the original pd35 with advertised lower lumens but actually the same as tested by many, I love this light.
I have some nitecores here and I prefer the Fenix build quality personally, I would go Fenix they tend to be less showey and just get on with the job

Thanks for all your replies.

If I may add, which Fenix torch would you suggest, UC35 (960 lumens) rechargeable or PD35 2014 (960 lumens)?

Thanks.

UC35. Ive got 4 PD35's and the UC35 seems to be the most sophisticated "35" and the mode switch glows in the dark I know I love mine
