Another bump, also to clarify that I am primarily interested in the original CR123A (x4) version.

I hadn't realized that the 18650 (x3) tube, which was discussed in that thread, was actually produced and released.

Will consider all offers, but strong preference for the compact model (or one with both tubes and battery carriers)

Arch, you may be aware of this but the 3X18650 tube was built for recharging, the port accessible through loosening a ring encircling the tube and connecting to a charging power source.
