Tool received. Nice work.

Hopefully this "how to" description will help future users.

Put the M3 head in a small baggie. Left it open at the top. Place it in a pan with about 1/2" deep water bezel ring down. Boil for a couple minutes. USING A GLOVE (it's hot!), Immediately take it to the vise and clamp lightly on the flats with soft jaws installed and a piece of paper between the part and the jaws. Bezel ring pointed up. Drop the removal tool into the notches and turn as easy as can be with a wrench.

It arrived and all good to go - except I need a tool for a turbo head. Anybody subscribed to this thread want to rent one to me? The parts are out to be cerakoted and I would like to do both heads out of the same batch for color matching.

I can't say for sure... Looks like the head is similar to the M3?

Yes, it should fit the M962 head as the 9 volt weaponlights have the standard M series shock isolated head (except for the ones that have the KT4 turbohead).
