They make a Al HA model for about $400, while a HDS Rotary costs $300. I have both the BOSS 30 Al 219c HCRI Nichia and HDS Rotary 219b HCRI Nichia. Totally different lights: UI, form factor, beam pattern, etc. but they do over a full refund policy for the BOSS if not satisfied. And if it is important to you they are made(mostly) in the USA.

BTW I picked a 3000k HDS, just want to try it out. I find the 4000k Nichias to cool for outdoor use. I like my HDS 120lmn XPG 3700k HCRI for outdoors.

Yeah....different light, materials, metal, PRICE!

I put in for 1 of ea option, will decide which i prefer when they arrive.

It's a tough decision with increments being fairly close to one another. I just wanted a warm nichia hds. 2700/3000k would have been good enough.

We will see how they all compare. I imagine 2700/3000/3500...3500/4000k will be too close for comfort

Probably wrong place to post this, but I figured it's related. Is the orange peel reflector out? What kind of reflector is coming with the group buy lights? Thanks!
