And a BIG battery pack. :D

Specs: Made by General Electric these lamps were made for punch card readers. Lamp # CG 101-AX. It is 200 watts at 16 volts. The bulb is 108mm long by 30mm in diameter. The base is 30mm long by 26.5mm diameter. It has a 2 flange twist base.

Might be a little big for an EDC, but would be fun to try out.

I saw an army searchlight (the type of thing that lights up the clouds) for sale in a junk shop today.

You could use it in one of those...

(Did I buy torches in this junk shop? Erm, yes. Two classic tin fish-eyes, one 4.5v, the other 2x927.)

Between keyboard and chair, in the US Midwest.
Of course, to get any kind of performance, you'd need a reflector the size of a trash can lid :)

Heck if we're going to dream, why not this:

115V might be hard to find, but 29,000 lumens sounds good.
Here's one that's rated at 2000W, and 170000 lumens.

Wonder if there is an employee discount on pricing?

I wonder why the glass tube is so long in relation to the filament

I wrote to a bulb company I found mentioned here. They wrote back asking for all the information I could give on this bulb. All I could give them were the dimensions. I haven't heard from them since.
