So Elkins,
Have you pulled the trigger on any of those lights in your amazon cart?

Have you played with that Defiant triple yet? What do you think of it?
How does that beam pattern fit your needs?

LOL... we are here to help you spend your money :D

I'm leaving town on Wednesday and I don't want the box to sit on the porch for several days, so I'm not going to order anything until January.

So far I have been pleasantly impressed with the Home Depot light. I'm definitely going to order some 18650s so I don't have to buy C batteries. I don't have anything else that tak s C cells.

Surefire M3/M4 with low output lamp assembly still seems to be the best tough emergency light in my estimation. We've had a huge blizzard here and I'm very glad I have them and a lot of primaries. It cuts through the wind and snow like nothing else. And they just keep going. Even the high quality LED lights I have are a joke in a situation like this. And I don't trust cheap complicated electronics or circuit board contacts in extreme situations either. Good old filaments and springed twisties saves the day/night once again.
