Long time Daimon fan...

I must admit: I'm a Daimon fan... that will be due to one of these lights being my first "serious"(??) flashlight. Before that 2C Daimon, I only had plastic fantastic Sonca lights. During the years, I collected all standard Daimon lights of this era. In the picture you see a 2R10 - 2C - 2D - 3D light. The 2R10 is used with one 21700 cell. Great little light!

They are from Germany and were sold all across Europe, also in the Netherlands, where I live. Early eighties stuff.

I keep misreading the title of this thread as Doraemon and thinking - seriously how can anyone be a fan of a that stupid blue robotic cat.

Strange/unique looking flashlights BTW, I had never heard of them before. Will have to look into them.

Flashlight – Daimon 2233

Back in the 1940's there wasn't such a abundance of light after sunset. Especially outside towns in fields and forests. Flashlights where a vital tool for night time map reading, signaling with coloured lenses and many other uses. The blackout during the war also meant for a extended popularity...
