Not quite but close.

So, I have a Burgess Radar Lite that was my father's, complete with the original vehicle mount. Now it's in pretty good shape considering it's between 55 and 65 years old but, it uses sealed beam tech and currently an alkaline 918a, also pretty dated tech. In the interests of emptying my pockets even further is it possible to use the reflector with an LED or given that the reflector shape is a known could it be cnc'd to work with an LED?
Part Deux,

The 918... The insanity that is opening the case removing the innards and replacing them with 21700s, or some similar ilk while introducing usb c charging, back up psu, for stuff, a place for protection circuit while remaining original looking.
Thanks,

Bernie

To keep it remaining looking, no. Radar Lites did not have USB ports or LED's behind the lens.

But you can certainly do a resto-mod and end up with a Buck Rogers looking gadget.
