I guess it could be pretty cool for camping. 2 aa's I'm guessing? It doesn't look very big. It just says AA battery so maybe just one? That would be ridiculous though for run times. Must be more.

Someone has asked the same question about the battery it uses on their facebook,fenix replied,it uses two AA batteries or one CR123A battery.

I mean.. Two AA's next to each other (or behind each other) takes up a different space than one CR123.

Hmm... interesting looking light. As for using either 2xAA or 1xCR123, it reminds me a bit of the original SF Saint headlamp. Ok, they are polar opposites but the Saint did have 'multi-fuel' capability. You could either use 2xAA or 3xCR123 using the same battery compartment: the 2xAA fit length-wise wheras the CR123's fit upright. There were just two different sets of contacts.

I was thinking this light may have the same sort of battery compartment where 2xAA's fit lengthwise, then a separate set of contacts would allow the CR123 to sit upright. It would be interesting to see more pics.

You may not load different batteries at the same time, I think most of us understand that

I love camping. This will fit very nicely in my camping bag. I have plenty of rechargeable AA's and a nice solar charging station that I use camping already. Plus a pocket full of 123 lights. So this is nice. Looks like a magnet on the base too. Now, just need to make a few trit mounts or glow epoxy on it so I can find it in total black out.

So far I see, you can load 3 batts together...but you should not do that
