Yahoo! Waited patiently for this one. Resisted getting the XHP50 version in hopes for the XHP70 version. Glad it didn't become vapor ware. With the smaller size, magnetic tail, and charger this baby will keep my work truck center console real happy between jobs.

I saw your post the other day and since then I've been checking the Russian and German flashlight forums for a review (or any posts, really). I can't find anything yet. I'm so impatient, lol.

gatormack, are they actually selling/shipping the light now on the Russian store you found (not pre-order)? That would be great.

Are you sure? For example, here it is listed, but with a red mark "Not available". They have even those, but not with a price tag

Russians name that behavior "running in front of a train" -- you might be the first to take a better place in a carriage, but there is a good chance a train will run you over in the process.

Dear Olight engineers,

Please provide an LED beacon under the power button so it can be found quickly in the dark. There are several reviewers of the regular R50 who couldn't find the flat button the dark.

If the R50 Pro is going to have any 'tactical' applications, that side switch needs to be able to be found really fast in the dark - no fumbling for the switch, not even for a few extra seconds...

No dealers have the R50 Pro yet. We are looking at a scheduled release at the end of this month for www.olightstore.com and other dealers (28th or 29th). If a dealer has it on their website, they have posted it prematurely.

Hi Carl, We appreciate the suggestion. We have thought of this which is why we machined a large thumb ramp above the switch for comfort and locating. The switch can turn red but that is only for when the battery is low or the light is in lockout mode.

Probably not. If you notice, we have never done a copper or titanium light with the magnetic charging system.

Will you eventually do a copper version of this one as well?

This light will only be using the XHP70 LED so probably not.

Will there be a NW version available??
