Note: I am planning to use the BHC with a McR27XR reflector, which is 2.5mm shorter than the McR27L. I do not expect this to be an issue, but please advise me if it might cause any problems.

If you don't mind me asking, how much of a difference is there between the regular DHS and P7 heatsinks? Are the P7 heatsinks larger or are they mostly the DHS without the hole in their bottom?

There are two distinct differences. Mounting pedestal on P7 has wider ridge than DHS and P7 has solid bottom for maximum heat absorption. These two are not interchangeable.
