Hi, Somewhat of a newbie here. I've been lurking and reading reviews but haven't posted.
I'm a cyclist and I'm looking for a good compact bright light with maybe three modes and a rapid strobe. I ride daily and keep my light on strobe always when it's light out and want a bright light to see obstacles when it's dark. I have a couple of LED 18650 lights but looking for a good recommendation.

Thanks,
John

The BLF A6 is budget friendly and has a variety of modes, including a true bike flasher mode.
Since it sounds like you are a serious cyclist and the light would only be used for cycling, it is probably worth getting a dedicated bike light. Maybe try looking around the subforum LeanBurn mentioned.

I'd try the Specialised Flux Expert.

So many so called 'bike lights' are just normal lamps with a bike mount added. they still have a normal round reflector and shine the same amount of light up in to the sky / trees, oncoming drivers faces as they do on the road.

So many car drivers complain about too bright cycle lamps..but it is not really the brightness that is the problem..it is the lack of beam pattern and focus
