Not being plugged in to the popular culture of the time, I had to look up neckbeards. It seems it has a deeper meaning, and not to be understood by "face value".

I read your link. Know/knew plenty that fit that description, but the neckbeard part.... just plain lazy. I shave, at most, 3x a week (M/W/F) but dang guys, buy a razor. That's trendy now... using vintage straight razors.

The term was so odd, I felt there must be a meaning that I was not familiar with. Glad I followed my hunch--learned something. I am out of the pop culture loop! Can't say that I miss it, really, it's childish and stupid for the most part.

The batteries, said to have leakage, were removed by the previous owner.

Seller said he bought a large box of flashlights. There were 3 early camo mm that were part of an estate sale from an retired cop (expired) in his state, TX.. Yep, I scored 2 of them. Someone else got the third.
Right, the only duty light he had was an '84-ish D-cell in the original box. I don't tend to pay big bucks for cardboard so someone else got that.

There was another seller who had 4ea one 2D and 3ea 3D in same cardboard containers. All four sold for around $150 Not bad price for vintage mags nib

I just ran onto this blue pre-letter 3C in real nice condition. It goes well with my blue 2C, and is a little lighter in color.
Thought I'd snap a few of some of my other C Mags while I was snapping, since many of my pics from a few years ago got lost in the shuffle. Here are some 3C models. All but one are pre Panther. The 2nd and 3rd from left I upgraded to users, with LED, aluminum OP reflectors, glass lenses, and anti-battery rattle insert. 4th from left is an older model with flat tail cap and stamped TM bezel. It dates to Sept. 1986.
The 3C and a 2C flat cap with stamped TM bezels. I upgraded the 2C to a user since it was somewhat scratched up.
Just ran onto the Tahoe 2C. Not rare, but goes along with the Chevy Truck 2C, which I have a couple of. They must have made a ton of the Chevy Truck one, they seem to be a dime a dozen.
A few colors. The lime green was new in package, but I took it out. I think the dark grey is the only one with a lettered serial number. Dang, forgot to include the purple one. I need a red and a Vari Beam.
Aircraft themes.
Glass breaker end cap with screw on protective cover. Pretty cool. One of my upgraded users.
A couple of flavors of crenelated bezels.
D-ring end cap. Pretty handy.
Not old or rare, but I think they're beautiful and well done.
