A night shift somewhere in the US in the 1960's:
Two policemen are sharing a story about a perp that the search and rescue captain caught earlier that evening when both see movement some 100 yards away in a dimly lit alley. Officer 1 pulls out his 3D Captain and shines it. "Is that a dog?" Officer two pulls out a 4D Sportsman and says "is it a cat?" About that time the search and rescue captain walks up with his 7D Sportsman and shines it. "Fellows as you can now clearly see, that's a rat the size of a labrador".
The throw is amazing. Though those old gigantic lights clearly light up an object farther than the normal sized incan lights. That is the charm of those big boys. First time I lit my 7D Dog Supply House 7D and aimed it 500 feet away it made me giggle.
It's the one on the left.
Right is a Bright Star 10D from the 1930's. Middle left is a 3+3 Dog House Supply House from the 1950's. Middle right a 3D Sportsman from the 1960's.
