Thanks Ven, MAD, NL. I never set out to own 80 flashlights (sold about 30 or I'd have well over a hundred) but apparently this hobby is kind of addicting?

I still do have more than you lol, but you've got me beat by a long shot in the V54 category!

From Vinh:

OK I got a game plan! Configure Scylla to operate the center LED independent from the surround via just one switch. Covert the middle LEDs to XPL2s for Flood Mule.

Example UI: Flood LEDs are always ON. But fast 4 click toggle ON OFF the surround 50.2s. Once on all LEDs operate with 6 levels from Low to Turbo with last mode memory. Levels of both bank of LEDs link with each other. This way we have a X80vn Ideal. Pure Flood only of maxed out all ON. What you guys think?

Is anyone else on the list at BLF to buy the big GT thrower they are putting together? With a 5" reflector that thing might really throw.

i am, twice;)
it should be an epic light for sure
im hoping for 1.2 mill lux or so:thumbsup:
you would think if the tn42 can do 800klux, this thing should do at least that

That is what I was thinking. A lot depends on the shape and quality of the reflector though. If you could take the geometry and quality of the T21 reflector and bump it up to 5" we would really have something. It will have to throw over a million lux for me to want to carry that big boy around. If the reflector is not right the throw will suffer, and that is what this light all about. That raw aluminum sample they sent out looks pretty awesome!

Has anyone checked out the new Aspire INR18350 cells? They look to be a huge improvement over what is out there now. I have a feeling we might be seeing a number of improvements in the smaller cells. Now we need to find a US supplier.

yep, surely they wont waste all this time and effort, and not put a A-1 reflector in it to get well over 1 mill lux
that would be a crying shame
we shall see
