It's metal other than the grip, but yeah it's Chinese. Not my favorite. I don't use it much since the beam is so narrow, but I keep it in case I need to hit something a long way off.

Yes SL has 75% of all their product made in China. But they also have a plant in Pennsylvania I think it is. They make all the US stuff there. There actually is a handful of US made SL.
Right, they have a some lights still made in the US. Something I only recently learned was that Streamlight started offshoring their lights as far back as 1980 or so. Their first molded plastic lights (Litebox) were made in Hong Kong.

Didn't the packaging say something like made for Streamlight. Something other than being their own product. I found one light from the 90s that wasn't made in USA I think TopShot.
