Wow!!! Dennis has done a fantastic Job of the 1st Ten Wee Da's.
He has achieved a nice deep etch & I suspect used some other techniques to achieve a high contrast between metals. These have come out really well.
Photos may not do the Wee Da justice as you get higher definition as you adjust the angles.
The whole of the Damascus grain can be seen all over & inside the Wee Da. There is a lighter etch on the threads & you even get to see the pattern on the reflector, brilliant...
I was aiming for a total price of £150 for each Wee Da. If I stick with the original guesstimate I stand to make a loss on this project. I realize to get this far it has taken way longer than anybody expected. However the great thing is they have turned out just terrific!
It is very likely that I will never make anything from Damascus again (Given the problems & costs)
Based on customer feedback & how good these are I would like to offer customers who have paid there deposit the option to pay a total of £170 or £200. In other words a choice of £70 or £100 to pay.
The £170 covers the actual cost to produce one Wee Da. £200 optional allows me £30 profit. I hope this sounds fair.
So this
