Yesterday I spotted a suspicious vehicle parking beside the neighbour's house. I happened to know that only an older lady was staying there at the time so I grabbed my Elzetta Charlie and went to go shine some light on what was happening.

When I get to the truck a man pops out and pulls some dark metallic looking rectangle out of his pocket. Maybe it was a bulky compact mobile phone or something??? He said when he seen my light he was expecting trouble. What ever he meant by that.

He expained he was jump starting a vehicle and I lit up the area. He asked what kind of light and I told him it was Elzetta and cost quite a bit for a new one but he was impressed and said he did HVAC type work and would like to have one. I provided light until they were done working then went back inside where it was warm.

I left my headlamp at a family member's house by accident recently (I know, I should probably have more than 1!). My wife's car tires also went down in pressure because of the switch to colder weather. So there we were, before a long drive, airing up the tires at the gas station in the dark. Since I always have the Fenix TK22 TAC with me, we used that light, and thankfully my wife was willing to stand outside with me to hold the light for me. So it was pretty much as good as having the headlamp, but it could have been a pain if I was by myself.
Yeah @blah9 you should have more than one. LOL

I recently bought another one of these.
Sofirn D25L 18650 USB C rechargeable headlamp for my car's glove box. I figure that if I ever get stuck in that glove box, I'll have a light.

Started keeping my Princeton Tec EOS II in the console of my car.
Older model, but very reliable. Plus, if it is raining out, it won't quit working on you.

OK, so this was not today, but it was yesterday.
My daughter's car's check engine light came on.
I pulled codes with my code reader and it was a C302 misfire on cylinder 2.
Her car has COPs coil on plug ignition. I pulled the coil and used my Thrunite 2C to look into the well that the spark plugs sits in to make sure that it wasn't filled with oil and water.

Nope it was clean.

For those interested I swapped coils to cylinder 2 and 3 to see if the misfire follows the coil.

What was the result of the swap?

Went out to check something at my 3rd Shift job.
Out came my very recent purchase Jetbeam M64.
This thing is a tiny beast of a hand-held searchlight!
Realized I didn't even need Turbo to light up the parking lot.
And, it's a huge lot. We're talking massive throw.

Used my new 1200 lumen drop in 4 D mag, from upstairs window to light up the cat
crapping in my back garden bush, he surely gonna have black spot vision for a wiley,
gave him the stage light escort off the premises : )
How rude! ;) How would you feel if someone spotlit you while you were on the toilet taking a dump? Wait, don't answer that, I don't really want to know the answer to that. 🤫

I used my Fenix TK22 TAC to change the wiper blades on my wife's car late last night.

A fellow borrowed my PKDL PR-1 today to inspect manholes. He shared it with his coworkers. Each one, when they saw how brightly it was lighting the manholes commented "this thing sure is bright".

Recognizing it's a real tactical light, the one guy noted how he had recently taken a gun safety course and the instructor told him he needs a tactical light, not that junk from Home Depot.

Went to work last night. About to check the Pedestrian gate near the West wall to make sure it was locked up good & proper. Just got out of my car, I see a familiar one pull into the lot. Driver sees me, and slowly pulls a u-turn right back out the gate as I stand there making sure he sees me, seeing him. One of the usual neighborhood trespassers who hadn't been there in weeks.

Had my Wurkkos TD03 clipped to my left-front cargo-pants pocket. Never got to use it on him. Instead, just walked up to that gate, twisted the head for Turbo mode, and verified that it was indeed properly chained and locked.

Used my torches to try and find a pantry moth my mother allegedly saw flying around last night. First grabbed my S3 2700K (719a), but figured I needed a cooler tint to get more glare off the moth's wings, so I nabbed my S21A 5700K (519a).

No moth in sight, unfortunately, no matter how much I stirred and disturbed furniture and other crap in general. I'll check again after I get home later today.
