What Do You Get With A $150 Limit?

You get to pick any torch you want and have a limit of $150. What light would you bring home to add to your collection?

I would most likely choose one of the following:



Jetbeam SSR50 - Portable Power

Olight Mini Intimidator - Push it to the limit!

Sunwayman T45C - Mostly aesthetic reasons - love the vented head

Please chime in. I'd love to hear what light or accessory you would get for yourself if you had a free pick.

What else do you already have? That makes a big difference...good idea to buy a light if it does at least one thing better than anything else you have. What role do you most want to fill?

Of those listed, I'd go with the V11r. Control rings are really nice. And the smaller it is, the more likely you'll have it on you when you need it. But whether or not that makes sense to you, I don't know.

If you are asking me, I would get something titanium, since I don't have any Ti lights yet. I would be reluctant to spend my own money on it - Ti lights often cost a LOT more than the aluminum equivalent - and that kind of makes it a perfect gift. Good rule for gifting is to get something the recipient would never allow themselves to purchase.

I have a SS AAA Peak Eiger from Oveready and an Alum MBI HF - they are great lights. I would get a McGizmo Sapphire GS - in fact I did for Father's Day.

Seems like a great deal for $150. $140 actually

I've recently been on a edc binge, so when I saw that much power, for that money, I jumped.

This would be a great choice. Small enough to carry with you ALL the time, and it is probably the single greatest light I have for the wow factor. People can't believe such a tiny light can be so bright!

My mx25l3vn is a mid sized mtg2 light and was $215.
Granted I think the eagtac has more features, and possibly a more solid build, but to get all that output for $150.
I know output isn't everything, but it's definitely a big player.

I'll definitely have to get all my mid to large lights out for a comparison photo shoot.
Can't wait!

surefire fury defender and CR123a batteries with it, or a light and motion Urban 700 bike light and planet bike superflash for the rear of my bike

Olight Sr52vn also looks good if a midsized thrower is your fancy.
Looks to be around 250kcd for $135 according to Vinh.

Tough one as so many considerations ,edc wise or just fun etc etc

So will throw the new olight sr52vn in,this is modded by sir vinh,eats 3x18650 cells and can recharge the cells in house,great package imo.

Other lights, the ones you suggested ,the v11r is a great edc light,lots of cell options from 123/16340 to AA/14500 with ext fitted(nice camo too )

As mentioned,some nice ti light would be good for an edc so i would look at what i would use most,take from there

Edit-I have the sr52vn and miniVN on the way so not actually had a hands on yet,ones more a thrower,other a flooder but both look well made lights.

Funny you mention this exact amount, for the 4aa p60 host in our custom builds section that's been on my radar all year. JUst hoping to find one used, for something there's not much research to do on apart from its own for sale thread at this price. Definitely a unique one of a kind product though!
