Length diference between 3 AW's protected cells and 3 IMR is about 10mm while an extra IMR needs 50mm room. Therefore can't squeeze 4 IMR even in bored out 3C M*g.

How much extra length would this give for batteries? Also, would this have a large enough ID for some IMR batteries? I'm entertaining the possiblity of a build with some IMR 26650 cells.
