Just a few posts that interested me though I'm not buying any lights.
Sapphire tends to be more scratch resistant than glass but not more shatterproof from my reading. So in a light with a bezel that protrudes beyond the lens surface to protect it it really serves no great advantage unlike a watch where the watch face abrades against other things often.
As for the blue o-rings, I don't know where Prometheus lights gets his but they are very dark and shiny. The fluorosilicone rings I ordered and offered here years ago were much lighter and a little more matte in finish. You might have to scour the net if you are fussy about the shade of blue.

The Sapphire also let's a different wavelength if light through. I'd consider it better :-)

I don't think that's true. I'm pretty sure that sapphire lenses allow 95% of light through compared to 99% for UCL lenses with double anti-reflective coatings.
So I guess scratch resistance really is the only significant perk for sapphire then. I personally have never scratched a glass lens but who knows?
If I remember correctly sapphire allows less transmission than UCL lens, but still plenty high enough. If there is any difference in wavelength transmission, it is not noticeable to the naked eye, nor is the slight difference in overall transmission.
Again the main benefit is the hardness of a sapphire lens. If you are prone to dropping your lights often or worried about cracking a lens, a regular glass lens is slightly less likely to break, and cheaper to replace. If anyone has a source for AR coated 21mm mineral glass lenses that would be appreciated.

Thanks for the link, the 21mm they have is 21.6 which won't fit. The 21.3 wouldn't either.
An update on the o-rings, function is more important than form, so I will only be sending viton o-rings installed for the threads. I tried the flourosilicone rings on the thread groove and they shred instantly even with the surfaces smoothed and deburred. This is partly a side effect of the thicker walls at the o-ring grooves than the Mac's, and the super squishy soft fluorosilicone rings. The bezel o-rings are no trouble though, and will be supplied as requested. The upside is that with proper o-rings, it provides a good, snug seal at the threads.
To clarify on spares, I include the spare black boot from the switch (requires trimming), a spare black bezel viton o-ring, and two spare black viton o-rings for the threads.
