Kosen 1800k MDC AA: looks like a release (again) Friday. Maybe the last batch with this version of this LED according to his email. You guys enjoying them who got in on the first batch? After seeing the first batch for sale I immediately had the LED put into an AAA light I have and love it for some warm nightstand illumination. The MDC AA intrigues me but indoors and outdoors at night, 3500k is my preference. I love the MDC AA, and enjoy this emitter, but not sure about the use of the combination of the two. What are you guys using yours for? Still tempted!

Kosen might wanna fix his link for the 1800k...it says 14500 body, 3.7V for efficiency, but then says do not use Li Ion...it can easily be misconstrued

Good catch. I missed that in the What we're excited about: section. Looks like a cut & paste error. He needs to delete

- new buck driver 3.7v-9v for improved efficiency

But the body description

- next gen 14500 body, half knurled with tapered smooth front for easier pocket ingress

is technically correct at 14500; 1x AA might be a better choice in this instance.

I finally bought the M91BN during the last sale. I loaded it into an Elzetta Charlie with 3x CR123s and ZFL head. At first I was quite disappointed with the beam indoors and at close range (aka white wall hunting). It has a green spot/corona and purple tinge at the edges.

Then I took it outside. It’s glorious! At mid to long range, the beam profile evens out nicely, providing a wide swath of light. It’s gonna be a keeper.

Been about 9 months since I had this cerakoted and after 9 months a beautiful baby it has become. The cerakote does wear away on the edges, but it has not chipped and solves part of the “slippery pineapple” problem some people had with the newer style md body. The more beat up it gets, the more I like it.

Md2 with an m91bn hi/lo ring on an 18650. I have used 2-16340 if I wanted a brighter low mode.

Cloud defensive pocket clip, Md body extender and I used paracord with a constrictor knot to attach a o ring to it which is good for getting it out of the pocket and a good grip while using.

M91bn is still the king to me.

Who did the Cerakote for you? I'd like to have a couple coated if it is not ridiculously expensive.
