Few pics of a couple of this weeks lights, both SFT70 LEDs, both similar size . The warrior x4 takes a little getting use to with the 2 mode(not using tac mode as don’t want strobe ). So a low which is soft press for momentary , soft click for low on 300lm. Or hard press for momentary, full click for high on 2600lm

Think the armytek swings it for me, for an easier to use UI. The olight does require practice and to be fair, using momentary high is an easy and guaranteed. However wanting low momentary or low on is or can be tricky with that half press. You can feel it on the switch, but it takes some practice. In real world use, you would have to mash it for high momentary which is guaranteed under stress. Admittedly you wouldn’t want a lower 300 level anyway. So in that respect it does work, just tricky for a low level. Took me a few attempts and can do it each time now. But using other lights UI, it can be like starting over again if makes sense. Nice though, nicely made, solid and feels confidence inspiring .
Enough waffle

Just arrived! A Muyshondt Nautilus MK1 from CPF Member @808vudoo easy purchase and expedient delivery...it was listed as "Used condition". Aside from a couple small scratches it's still awesome! I'd get those scratches on it myself very shortly.

And the Macadamia nut chocolates...OMG! Delicious!

Had that issue with one of mine several years back. Got some extremely fine sand-paper. A few figure-8s later, it was nice and smooth.
Yes, it's beautifully smooth. It's just really wet now. I can't use it on cheap copy paper. It's like writing on a paper towel. Fortunately, it works well on note paper.

Morning Tex, hope you enjoy it! Big Aloha from the islands, D

Is it the type of fountain pen where you can easily swap out the nib?

Unfortunately, no. That is something I love about the Lamys. This one is a gold nib attached to a piston filler pen. It all great, though, as it gives me an excuse to carry two now. I love enabling myself! 😂

Mounts in place of clip screws which are on both sides, think about it before you install.

Definitely think about it! As much as the light is a great idea.... Not if you have to sacrifice the pocket-carry clip.

You can mount both, it has mounts on both sides, plyer end. The clip will make a difference depending upon if you use your left or right pocket and want to whip the knife blade out quickly. If you carry in a sheath, I imagine the clip & light will add some thickness. I carried a Photon light on my keychain for many years, I hope to find this useful in the same way.

@PaladinNO
Just realised weekend, so will find out hopefully Monday the colour temp👍🏻
I contacted Acebeam as well, and they said the Christmas Ti was only 6500K. It has now also disappeared from the site, but they said they still had a couple in the warehouse if I was interested. I politely declined, as I (try to) only buy lights to use, and not collect - and a limited edition 6500K would only be a shelf queen.

But I will buy a regular E75 Ti (Polished) in 5000K, that I know I will use.

Nice. Didn't know that was an option.

I spoke to acebeam for about 1/2 hr this morning 8am UK time and forgot even though question was asked ! Apologies , at least found out though.
I’m defo a 4000-5000 type, 5000 more so . However these new very clean 6000k beams has grown on me. I seem to be less fussy . I’m finding variety is still the spice of life and that includes colour temps for me .
Been playing with the warrior x4 today. I’m not convinced it’s a great tac light to be honest. Yes I can get low of 300lm, yes 2600lm with the full press. But I can’t get it 100% of the time. To hazard a guess I’m about 85% of the time I can lock on high or low. Momentary is fine as it’s press hold or press hard and hold. But to latch on
X65vn pack arrived, I almost cried in a dark corner as it didn’t work. Out come the multi meter and 16.6v so obv that’s good, checked head and that showed continuity . Lots of 🤔🤔🤔 then thought wonder if it’s the darn tabs. I carefully lifted each of the 4 up as they were all quite flat…..guess what….

🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😀😀😀😀😀

Yes working and now being tested on the side. Already passed 40 mins on a medium level (guess 2-3000lm) with no turning off or flashes. So hoping it was the battery pack and not driver at fault . Buzzing 😎

So within 2 weeks my RC40vn is as good as new with 6 new 4000 mah batteries, the x65vn as good as new with 8 new 4000mah batteries 💪🏻
Proprietary packs can be 🤮 for many and I get that, not as much with cheaper lights. But ones costing $100’s then fair enough. But it’s not the end of the world, resolder new cells in the pack and good for 5-10yrs again.
Anyway pics time

Reason for not working, these tabs were flattened and not making the negative contact

Oh a few pics added of my x40vn custom 1 of 1 made vinh light. Was in the draw so be rude not to take a pic or 5

Cheers ven😀

Thought I might have had a problem but also learned something too. I’ve used the light for quite a while , got it hot on high, ran for a long time on a lower level. Expecting naturally for the battery pack to be low (forgetting I have 8x4000mah cells or 4s2p so 8000mah!

I plugged in and green🤔 how can it be, surely red with voltage lower. Got the fluke out and measured 16.1v so each cell a tad over 4v. So ran again for 30 mins down to 15.? Can’t remember. Plugged in and red, charging. So voltage must be bellow 4v per cell or 16v total to accept charge. It’s all good, just made me panic for a second (exaggeration , just didn’t want another post office visit ).
