    HDS Systems #23

I grabbed the closest I have, and counted 24 levels, it also has a red ring (120 should be green), and I believe it flashes firmware version 2.18 and 200 lumens... followed that procedure when I got it, don't want to try it again now 😁 I have no way of checking whether the highest level is...

I had several 60s, but they are all gone (replaced by current model downgraded to 120 lumens) due to failing capacitors. Happened to all of my lights, symptom was draining batteries when off. I think I still have some 17650 battery tubes somewhere though.

Maybe I am not understanding this correctly, but I think your issue isn't with the signal spring but with the battery contact - loosing signal spring contact just has the button stop registering presses. To help with that you can extend the spring a bit to have it push a bit more strongly on the...

I use these in mine: https://www.keeppower.com.cn/products_detail.php?id=335 KeepPower 16650, 2500mAh. Maybe there are better options, like some "slim" 18650 out there?

    And you had a batch of 4 (I believe) XP-G2 140 too.

I believe I have a spare and can send it to you in an envelope.

A brief history of the HDS universe

This thread is sparkling some memories. I have...maybe over 15 HDS in storage somewhere, that I haven't touched in more than 7 years. I have a few out and somewhat used, but what sees the most activity is my bedside SPA defense modded with a Luxeon Rebel "super high CRI" (before that was trendy)...

A brief history of the HDS universe

I remember, I was there for many of these things (my original 2006 account was lost, and so was my marketplace account when the forums were separated). It was... a million years ago. HDS were tiny powerhouses back in the day! The original ones had such good power efficiency at low levels! Sadly...

Novatac 120T serial 12269 pics and questions

They are also (at least mine were) heavily glued and required heat for disassembly. First one I just applied to much force and made a hole in the threads as my tool ripped. Material seemed flimsier to me than initial HDS with similar design, but that may just be me.

    I noticed that too

I'm not sure what to blame, I have some lights that have 10 years and the boot is still impeccable, and others more recent where I had to replace it. I use a mix of CR123 from various brands (Panasonic/Energizer/Duracell, all probably made in the same US factory) and 16340/18650.

I had that before, it's decaying and will need replacement at some point. You might get lucky and still get a few more years out of it, if the "puffyness" isn't a problem. Eventually it will crack.

I have a brand new in bag 100 Hcri with 18650 tube that was probably messed up during transport, or just screwed too tight. Never had the heart to do anything with it as it's aesthetically so perfect... It's just a half broken shelf queen at this point.

They were, very interesting. But too delicate. Mine has the "usual" low/medium that are not spaced out anymore. I should send it to HDS for repair or just find out which contact needs to be resoldered/reshaped.

It's just...nothing. Aesthetic detail maybe? (note that not all the Ra Twisty(ies) have the red option, I think only the 85 and maybe some rare 100 with the Golden Dragon emitter?)
