Sold/Expired 100pc Left Titanium Firefly

Hi all, i just acguired a secondhand firefly. What a beautiful light... however the button is sticky, for lack of a better word. It is not smooth. Did i get a dud/defect or are the others this way? It is very disappointing as it makes a premium looking light feel in operation like a chinese bargain light., thanks,

This light is now one of my favorites! Applied a filter to the inside of the lens and I found a rubber switchboot that fits :)

I know Josh did some specific drop testing. I tested mine on concrete covered in linoleum and hardwood. Dropping it would break a trit most times. The smaller trits did not break. I even had some trits broken in transit when it was shipped to me (dhl). In a bag, it's likely okay. A direct impact will break the trit, but a bit of bumping in a bag is probably okay (but I can't guarantee anything of course).

The light if ordered with trits came with 2.5x10mm trits that are suspended with little bitty orings. The stainless steel pins supplied are 3x11mm.

Loading them in the first time is a pain in the butt, subsequent installation is a breeze.

They come with the light normally.

If I get a chance, I'll pull out my pin Gage's and get the sizing for ordering from someone like McMaster. You're probably going to have to purchase a bag of 100. Otherwise, you might drop a pm to the builder to see if he's got extra.

You buy the trits at mixglo.com. He may be able to supply the appropriate orings.

The o-rings are 3mm OD, 1.82mm ID with a gland diameter of 0.5mm.

You're going to have to search for metric micro o-rings as the standard sizes have too thick of a gland.

Great idea, hadeswolf-I have used all rods, all trits, alternating rods & trits but never Copper or brass. If you have a good source for copper or brass rods, I would gladly pay for a set of each. If you can get a discount for multiple sets, I bet there are others who would also be interested....

To update everyone on this, I bought a pack of 3mm brass rods from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SWNN0AY/?tag=cpf0b6-20
and just cut them to size with a hack saw. Took about 5 minutes max. It works and turned out very nice, I cut 4 out and alternated between steel pins and brass pins. A great cheap alternative to Tritium vials if you want to get some color on this torch.

I have a few rods left, if anyone wants one shoot me a PM. Each rod is 90mm so good for all 8 pins (11mm each).
