Dogs vs people? Which do you prefer?

Psychology says people who prefer the company of animals to humans aren't antisocial — they've learned that animals offer the one thing most human relationships quietly withhold: presence without agenda - The Expert Editor https://experteditor.com.au/blog/b-...ships-quietly-withhold-presence-without-agen/
One billion percent. I sat at my cabin last week watching little **** (the birds) watching me as I watched them. I also watched them collect food and bring it to a ledge on the outside of the screened in back porch. They would hover and look in at me before doing so. We built a trust together.

I also listened to the owls communicating back and forth. One close and one further away. Last year there was a nest in a tree right on the edge of our property. At night we would build a fire and listen to them wondering which tree they were in.

Even at my house; rabbits, birds, my dog, neighboring dogs all living together. So cool. So beautiful. So relaxing. Presence.

Killer bees were created by a greedy dude who wanted MORE honey!

Harlee (RIP) and I was extremely lucky the swarm that past through me wasn't Killer Bees. If they were, we probably wouldn't have made it.

The swarm was so thick, you couldn't see through it. The sound was so loud, my initial thought was a single engine plane was heading our way.

All I had time to do was close my eyes. I thought, I was toast.

Man i had some great guard dogs was so smart they knew who wasnt to be trusted and would try to bite them. But anygood person or animals they would be sweet to

I had dogs as a boy, and I really want some again, but I've gone all my married life without a dog, but the same wife, so I prefer people.

The main problem with pets is that humans live so much longer than they do, and if you get very attached to them, when they die, it hurts so much.

That’s very true. It makes you enjoy every day with them that much more though.

I still miss my last rabbit even though it's been 12 years since she passed. I had her for 10+ years. I'm so used to coming home, opening the door, going, "Ebby, I'm home" and she'd come running to the door if she wasn't there already.
