Help Support Candle Power:

Hi wendee, thank you, it's a McGizmo Hiaku which has had an xpl HI 4000k put in, along with a different programable driver(dr Jones)

It's so nice looking! And xpl HI 4000k sounds great. When I first saw the picture I thought "Ohhh, I'd like one of those!". I just now did a Google search and saw one for sale :faint: I better start saving! I read it's custom made by someone? Very nice! Maybe someday I'll be lucky enough, but until then I'll just dream and look at the picture. Thanks for letting me know the name of the flashlight :)

Thank you wendee , SOYCD did the body and the xpl HI mod(and programable driver).

Thats pretty much what I do wendee, dream and look at the pictures of some amazing lights:)

Another recommendation would be to check out the HDS HI CRI rotary(or clicky )
It's "only" around 200lm but it should be enough for most uses(I find anyway , in fact most I use is around the 140lm level) The reflector design and depth does throw out a very useful amount of light, so if lumen figures do matter, try not to let them on this light.(then again the gizmo off don is not much different ). These type of lights are not built for huge outputs, rather function over anything else.

Crazy huge following and you would soon find out why

Cheers

Before i joined CPF i only had incan flashlights and one cheap Dorcy LED light. I probably spent like $500 on more flashlights and i made the mistake of walking into the flashlight section at Walmart. Got 2 new lights and a headlamp. To be honest i just wanted to find something useful for my AAA's and bought some more since these lights are not particularly powerful. One of them has a laser on it :).

I still have lights i want in my Amazon wishlist. I also have a huge videogame collection, movie and music and computer hardware. My apartment looks like a gadget/entertainment shop :).

You are in good company here, MidnightDistortions.

Hahahaha....no, I don't have a problem. I need every single one of the 26 lights next to my bed, and the other 30-40 odd that are around the house and in cars, backpacks and on bikes.

No problem here......just.....just K70 Acebeam shaped hole beside.....K60 Acebeam and some.....click.......others that are all......allll......necessssary for smooth functioning of household...

Whilst they can be unwieldy and difficult to handle, and impractical for EDC, I like the form of some of the larger lights.
As nice, and as powerful as some of the modded offerings are, factory specs are ok by me. Maybe one day for a modded thrower.....

Nice family Harro  how are you getting on with the k60 and k70 after some use?

Larger lights do have advantages even though not always a practical choice, crazy run times in low outputs can not be sniffed at. Lost count of the amount of times i have tail stood my tn36vn on moonlight for lighting a room gently and not even impacting on the mah! Of course having high output on tap when needed can't be sniffed at either. Sometimes they are worth putting up with a few cons IMHO . Plus sometimes when out, I want to feel like I am holding something substantial rather than a light that dissapears in the hand. Some kind of confidence inspiring feel, hard to explain!

Hi ven,
The 60 is great. Have a close look at the photo, and you'll see a K70 shaped hole beside the K60. I have'nt got a 70 yet, bur hopefully in the next couple of weeks. That will be my torch budget blown out of the water, for this year anyway! Looking foward to the 70, if its as good at throwing as the 60 is at flood/throw....
Mike.

Hi mike....... I wondered what you meant and had looked at the pic! Like it

Geeez , if I did that for lights to get, it would have that many holes between lights.......I would have to walk between them!

You will be happy with the 70

Me too with budget, some quiet time and enjoy the lights I have :)

Hey ven,
Actually, i'm in the brownish coloured plant food with the financial controller, after that photo. Thats normally where our kitchen table sits, and
I moved same to throw majority of lights on floor to take photo. Problem was, i cleaned that section of floor with steam mop, which prompted question from the higher authority, ' why dont you do the rest? ', to which i answered, ' nah '. Immediately, the atmosphere turned GLACIAL cold, as i realized my mistake. Have spent the last 24 hours trying to make amends with ' she, who MUST be obeyed ' , all to pretty much no avail. Ohh well, nothing like burning all your man points in one fell swoop.

I assume that pic is of your K70vn? Very nice!!

 my lights only come out in force when no boss is about!!

When she was away with the kids

Otherwise I just stick to a couple of lights at a time.

Yes , k70vn pic

I am new here and I have real problem when it comes to knives, guitars and flashlights. I have way more of all these than I can possibly use. I am constantly acquiring new flashlights and my wife is fed up, lol. I have one in every bag that i have, every car, nightstand, in my pocket, camper, garage, gym. You name it and I have a flashlight there. I have tons of knives too, some that are too nice to carry. I don’t know why I even bought them. Ive been doing some video reviews of my most recent lights and started a youtube channel to do them. Anyone else have this disease?

No...just you....I'm kidding.
If you take every flashlight you own turn them on and tape them on your body and you still have room left, you need more....NOT that that's something I do.....JUST get more.
