Are the HDS lights shipping reasonably quickly now?

A couple of weeks ago I placed an order for multiple custom lights (the 219b re-release was too tempting to pass up) and they were delivered to east coast US less than a week after ordering.
Thank you! I'll finally be ordering my first one now.
Can't decide between the NLT325 and the SDR50 emitters. Same color temperature, basically the same output. It amounts to choosing throw or CRI. Both of which I love.
Also trying to decide between the CR123 and 18650 battery compartments. I'm sitting on a mountain of CR123 batteries, but I love the runtime of the 18650 cell and I know I could simply use a dummy cell when I want to run a primary.
It's fun to have such interesting options to be mulling over.

I would go NLT and CR123. I have pretty much all the combos. Unless I'm going somewhere where I need serious runtime, the 18650 stays home. Plus u can always carry a spare CR123/16340.
I'll go the other way and recommend the 18650. I front pocket carry with a pocket clip (Clicky) and don't perceive a significant difference in size or weight between the 18650 and the CR123 compartment. Combined with the long runtime I get with the 18650 I find few reasons to carry the smaller one, even for short trips. But also if I need to, I can use battery spacers to allow any battery length in the 18650. Right now I'm using an 18350 with a dummy cell in one of my 18650 lights just to give my 18350s some use.
But definitely get the NLT, I think this is the best all-purpose emitter that's ever been in the HDS lineup. Not so throwy that you lose that spill for up close work, but definitely reaches father than other emitters for outside use. Not being high CRI is the only drawback to the NLT.

I logged in to tell you guys that I went with NLT/CR123. But then I "accidentally" ordered a SDR50/18650 light as well. What can I say

I speak for most of us when I say, we understand. Nice pull!!
I got the SDR50 in my Satinless and realy like it. Big hotspot, lots of light with a great snow white tint.

I can take all the cct from within the same line of 519a R9080, 219b R9080, 351, SST20, B35 and all get widely differing color rendering.
I can take the same cct from the above LEDs and get a widely differing color rendering.
I now just go after a nice looking tint because the color rendering varies too much within the "high CRI" classification.

All that stuff is confusing, the dedome 4500K 519a looks fantastic, 5000K dedome even more so, but they like to burn out.
I have a light coming with a dedomed 519a (4500K) and it brings it to about 3600K.

if @PoliceScannerMan says the NLT is the one to get then that's the one to get.
Now if your goal is to highlight greens then the 351 can't be beat.

Thx Kern. Perfect white tint on the NLT, just don't shine it on a wall, haha.

My preferred tint is around 4000k but in use even outdoors, the tint on the NLT is awesome. I don't pay attention (because I don't notice) to CRI unless it's really low.
Sometimes I would like a floodier LED for up close use but the NLT is great for all around.
I want to see the new LEDs that Hogo was hinting at.

In what hosts and at what forward currents have you burned out the 519a?

I've burned 3 of them on HF17x driver or whatever it's called. Maybe bad batch of emitters or drivers. I'm not a technical guy.
You guys are making me even more excited. I'm glad I ordered both emitters because I know I would have wondered what the one I didn't order was like...
