Hey, I like that mock up you made. If the wire could be made a little more proud at the shop and a clip of a similar, more precise design was offered, I think it would sell. Well, at least I’d buy it....
But your right, if Henry sees this stuff about people messing with that wire, he ain’t gonna dig it. But who knows...?

I had gotten a rare Ti Moddoo clip for the HA-NAT run that didn’t happen and it’s been just sitting here. So tonight I put it on my orange Rotary N200 under the bezel. It isn’t Henry sanctioned but it works well enough, especially since this light is only for home use anyways. It’s my go-to light once I’m home for the night for puttering around and bedside use so I’m not too worried about it. The last time I did this was with one of the old-school Twisties years ago. You need a thicker o-ring to take up the space created by the clip so I found a glo-ring I had that seems to be a good enough fit. Since it has a pumpkin spice reflector it now glows orange and green. Haha. And it doesn’t roll off the table!

Just have to mention, this is how awesome Henry is: I sent in my beloved high CRI Rotary because of a split boot that needed repair. I figured as long as I was sending the light in, I would go ahead and pay for the firmware upgrade, too, which included $15 for shipping. Henry completed the repair and upgrade and then refunded the shipping because he considered it a warranty repair.

Yes, from the first run of the high CRI Rotary. That was around 2014, I think. It's a well used light. I have an even older cool white 200 lumen Rotary that I've been using in the meantime, but I sure miss the high CRI.

Yours is a very efficient light. I calibrated it yesterday. You should get pretty good runtimes out of it.
I don't often see the green band of 120s come through the calibrator so it stuck out in my mind.

About calibration - I have an NB45 and an SDR50. At setting "1", the SDR50 is noticeably brighter than the NB40 at "1". If you get a chance, would you (Hogo) explain why that is?

It has always had great run times to the point that when it's time to replace the battery, I have trouble remembering the previous battery replacement.

A co-worker once thought I was packing an old school incan. He was greatly surprised when I told him it was LED. He said he had no idea that an LED flashlight could look that good as he had only ever seen them emit a sickly bluish/greenish tint.

I've read of a few instances where 120 HCRI's go in for updates, and come back as 140's.

Guess the reason is that the Nichia is 200lm and the Samsung is 300lm. Explanation with example: One percent of $300 is also more than one percent of $200, both it is 1% but absolutely 1% of $300 is more.
