Family photo if you can ever get them all .together!
I have one more arriving soon. A 2 x AAA light so my ReyLight Pineapple Mini Penlight - TI isn't lonely.
Then I can get a full family photo.

The ONLY thing a Single AAA flashlight makes ANY sense for, is as a back-up (or back-up, to a back-up) flashlight, FOR ME
I've NEVER understood the obsession for a "muti-level" AAA flashlight, FOR ME
I have similar feelings for myself. Some of the AA flashlights are small enough that the size difference between it and an AA model isn't that much different, so I might as well go with the larger one and get the extra runtime.

However, they do serve some purpose. I'm willing to carry an AA-sized light on my keychain. Normies might not want to.

I often give AAA keychain lights to my normie friends and family. A Fenix E05 or Lumintop EDC01 fits the bill for them, and gives them a much nicer light than they'd otherwise be able to get in most retail stores. I used to give out engraved Fenix E01s.

Sigh....This is where I always get stuck with AAA lights: most of them are not much smaller than my ZLH53, and none of them have the capacity or flexibility that it has. Three times the milliwatt hours in a AA than a AAA! That's not about the lights, that's just a hard fact about the cells that run them. Better amperage, too, esp. if you have to run alkalines.
And yet a lot of AAA lights take up more pocket-space than a compact AA. Especially if they are AAA clickies -- that's why all of my AAA lights are twisties. But even the original Fenix E01 is 71mm, where the ZLH53 75mm. That's barely 1/8 of an inch longer (okay, smarty: 1/6). And much, much more efficient: the Fenix will give you about 15 lumens for about 15 hours; the ZL will give you 16 lumens for 30 hours, or 8 lumens for about 68 hours!
Now, when you get down to the Olight and Skilhunt lights, those are genuinely smaller than the smallest AA lights. Truly tiny, in part because they do not over-build the battery-tube. Maybe they won't survive a trip under an Abrams, like the E01 would, but not every light has to be built like a tank. They still don't make it into my daily trousers load-out, because they can't replace my ZL. But I have a lot of them stashed in useful places, cars, winter coat pockets, and so on.

I used to give out engraved Fenix E01s.
I wish we were friends back then....

Why you gotta bring up the h53 @lampeDépêche ?! We’re having AAA party in here! Having said that, I had that little zebra in the past and started saying that it’s the most useful/ versatile light that I’ve had. Tiny, handheld or headlamp, AA or AAA batteries, and super efficient. I may or may not have another used one arriving today…….🤦.

That’s a solid collection sir! Thanks for taking the pic. Here’s my latest with the honorable AAA mention, the H53c.

Very cool collection!
I had no idea that the Lumintop EDC was so short! Too bad they discontinued it.
I have never had the AAA EDC01, the Lumintop with prominent ribs, but I had the AA version of it. Liked the length, did not like how heavy the body was, and especially did not like the beam — no throw at all. What’s the beam like on the AAA?

Gg, did you sell that ZL and buy a new copy?
It seems like you buy and sell the same lights repeatedly.
We should start a thread: what kind of collector are you? Never let go once you get it, or keep churning with buying and selling?
I’m more of a never let go type — I very seldom sell.

Is it that obvious?! 🤣 I’m a mental patient….or should be at least. Yes I will get a wild hair and sell stuff and then get bored and look for them again. So yes, I gifted one and sold some and traded some, always come back to the same lights. I should NOT sell, this zebra, my modded I3e from Vinh, the Malkoff MDC AA I have, or any of these E01s. These are the ones I keep returning to.

Also I’m blessed to have a
Couple of other members that know how kooky I am, and are very generous with me whether it’s sending lights back to me, making good trades, or gifting me lights. God
Bless CPF.

It is a large hotspot. Not a lot of throw. It's definitely a small room indoor light. Of all I like the anodizing on it best. Feels thick kinda like an Armytek.

The calculus is even worse when you consider 14500 "AA" sized lights vs. AAA lights. The Wurkkos TS10 V2 4000K has been in my pocket ever since I got it last month. Way better than it deserves to be at that size and price point. 1.5 hrs @ 300lm, 6.75 hrs @ 50lm.

So VERY true !

My Wurkkos TS10 V1 4000°K
gave me (fully regulated) 60 Lumens *
for 9 Hours on a Vapcell F15 battery.

At 10 Hours, still provided about 3 Lumens.
At 11 Hours, about 2 Lumens.

Remarkable Performance !
😎
( * my humble estimate )
