We've had several storms hitting our friends in the Southeast.

hey ed!!! long time no comment but the hurricane missed my area of NC besides some very heavy rain.

All well here in South East UK. Bad stuff was pretty much all in the West and North. We tend to get the remnants of the storms from the US when you've finished with them.

Things are looking dire here. Ppl are beginning to gather in the streets in worry. I've called my mother twice this morning just to tell I love her.

OH NOOOOO! It's gotten worse! I had to call AAA because my battery was dead and it started to lightly rain and I needed to go to the store to buy my favorite bourbon hot honey.
I can't stand in the windy rain it's dangerous. I might get damp.

I NEED my bourbon hot honey for the coffee I also need. Times are hard here.

If you don't hear from me again, delete my browser history and tell my flashlights I love them. And my skillet too. I just got that damn thing.

Things got a little hairy a couple of nights ago, as a line of severe thunderstorms kept training diagonally through the state, with high winds, hail and a few tornadoes. I heard one deputy on my scanner confirm a tornado on the ground. (Which, is repetitive, as it has to be touching the ground to be a tornado.) The line of thunderstorms eventually weakened and so no muss when it finally went through my area. But I was a wee bit nervous there for awhile.

I am in southern Ontario and fine. Had an good ice storm two weeks ago. Never lost power etc. Other areas north of me got it worst.

Checking in late from South Central Tennessee....

I live on the Cumberland Plateau almost on the TN/AL border.
We don't get the flooding that the eastern part of the state sees, nor the severe tornadoes like the western part sees.
