is the Tana locked to a sustainable brightness? The G2, even with a metal head, tends to trap alot of heat in the threaded portion of the body towards the head end. Good choice on battery for convenience and fit. You may or may not need the head spring for that particular p60

It’s only 350mA so hopefully the heat is not a problem. It’s programmed to 4 levels, 0,2%, 4%, 25% and 100%. Do you think heat will be a problem?

350mA....That should be around 200- 300 lumens? It shouldn't be TOO much of an issue, Malkoff rates his L and LL as suitable for the plastic G's, and his L's run at 300mA for 230 lumens. I guess the only concern would be at max, but even then it shouldn't be too much of a concern

Nice - all the G2s above all have - to me - the obligatory lanyard attachment. I think I have 4 or 5 G2s, love my yellow one with low powered LED.

I will have the lanyard ring but not sure about lanyard. I don’t have so many lights with lanyard and the one with I only use for hanger when I don’t use it. I have different kind of paracord and some plastic parts, hooks etc. Do you have any recommendations about how to attach it, length etc? How do you use the lanyard?

Excellent! My G2 also has a replacement metal bezel ring though it's still rocking the plastic lens.

I usually use a small clip with a hole to run the lanyard through, then a spring clip on the lanyard as below.

The G2 is equipped with a CustomLites Luminus SST-50 3.6v - 6v, 650 Lumens 3 Level, drop-in powered by a Keeppower 16650.

The G3 has a Malkoff M61 powered by a matched pair of Pila 300s.

Does anyone else prefer the G2Z over the G2? I owned a half-dozen G2s before I got my G2Z, but I pass up the three G2s I have left in favor of the G2Z. Every time.

The P60 incandescent melted my lens so it bulged out.

It seems to work but both springs are very compressed because the long battery. What do you mean by head spring?
