I must have dropped it at work two months ago. Its been sitting in the middle of an excavation zone, track hoes, fork trucks, concrete mixers, all running around like crazy. It came home today in a golf cart, a coworker had found it last week and didn't know who's it was.

It's eneloop still powered it on.

Its side switch still works flawlessly.

I actually danced with joy when I saw it.

Now my pretty new one will sit in the drawer for emergencies, and my old friend has returned to his rightful place at my.left side.

Nice! I have one of these and it increases my confidence in it, and Fenix lights in general! :twothumbs Living proof that you do not have to spend several hundred dollars on a light to get great quality!!

Had this been one of those overpriced, underperforming lights that everyone seems to love then I think the outcome would have been a little different - there would have been smashed up machinery everywhere simply due to it coming into contact with such a holy piece of equipment.

I guess you're lucky you only had a "cheap chinese" light or you may have been up for the bill to fix all the machinery aforementioned "expensive" light would have simply destroyed ;)

This is a great thread and timely for me too!

I received my brand new LD12 Yesterday which of course is why I found my "Lost" one on Monday too!

To make it even better I also got an LD09 in order to get free shipping on the LD12,things must be as they are supposed to be!

I have only lost the LD12 10 times maybe in the 2 years since I have tried carrying one every day and mostly due to the horrible pocket clip.
My favorite time was when I knew I had lost it at a clients house but just could not turn it tup anywhere? Then I spied their tiny dog carrying something else to the indoor rock garden they have and burying it before moving along?
So I poked around in the wet sand and guess what I found, the LD12 of course!

SO last night I decided to slide a tight ranger band around the LD12 where it overlaps the clip a lot and we shall se if that keeps the clip on the light and thus the light on me?

I hope so.
