Re: The Lounge

Would not use windyfire tbh
As with Alex, AW , AWT(got some of their cells and have been fine) Efest purple are OK also. So 3 options to look at, most are 600-800mah. If 900 or above avoid as not correct, or afaik anyway the AW at 800mah are the highest capacity. Just make sure a reputable vape shop, as even today some sell chinese *beep* that are not high drain cells......................not fit for purpose for vaping basically!
I have had good results from KeepPower IMR18350 cells as well(4 options now), just dont expect the amazing performance to last with 8.4v(4.2+4.2) and around 600mah. Odd 5 or 10s fun WOW blast, maybe up to 30s or so use, but if for EDC your better off using the driver to start in a low mode or even a 30% level for a happy medium(output/run time/heat). This way you will get a good few mins of useful light ..........

Not teaching you to suck eggs as you know, but with this type of beast and low mah cells, once used say for 5m(total time) check the cell V and make sure the same, and note voltage so you can get an idea of where it will be after X amount of use. Does not take long to get to 3.5v!!!! Minutes.........
Button tops ideally( some flat tops.........so to speak are not that flat and can make contact in series) to help contact, or use of a magnet ,but not ideal and always best to use actual button tops where possible.

Re: The Lounge

Yup I have a couple windyfire 18350s. They have performed well. I also use keeppower 18350s. Both are good.

Dont know much on those, so maybe add another to the list of 5 flavours to go at. Just sometimes with those brand its the uncertainty for me and find i can not always trust them. Especially in series in a 4000lm light that i guess must be asking 10+ amps(not worked it out so a guess).

Yeah I hear ya i was skeptical as well but hjk rated them pretty high so i bought a couple from Richard at mtn electronics. Pretty impressed with them but hard to really know as far as consistency. I would prob stick with KP or aw if using in series. Would normally never buy "fire" cells but figured if hjk tested them as good I would give them a try.

Re: The Lounge

especially for a light pushing 4000 lumens with 2 18340s id stick with efest or aw for reliability

Re: The Lounge

I ordered 6 windyfire already. Shipping is only $2.75. I see eagtac mc30vn triple xhp 35 take 4 x 18350...
