Oh man... Its happening!!!! I haven't got my confirmation yet, I ordered on day one...

That output seem REALLY low for a 18650 light? Maybe it's grossly underrated?
 
The fact that it is 660 both on the sheet and the website, it’s likely that it’s real, and not a typo. I expected more, honestly. But my HDS are “only” 200 and I don’t complain 🫠

maybe its a typo and they meant 6600. :ROFLMAO:

Personally, 600 lumens in a throw type flashlight is fine by me. This is exciting! Please post your experience when this creature lands at your domicile.

It's not a "throw type flashlight" though, at best you could describe it as "a little bit more throwy" than the usual ZL beam.
If that's what you want - fine, but don't expect it to reach more than ~100 meters with a usable amount of light.
 
Yes, more throwy than the usual ZL. I never called it a thrower and the term ‘throw type’ is probably stretching things to try to buffer any disappointment regarding total lumen output.

Did you read that entire thread?

Thing is, this SC65 may have enough throw for our terrain where we live…
 
It is certainly throwier than SC64w HI, which was considered throwy compared to the other domed emitters.

Zebralight's latest two models, offer:

One Floody LED w a large hotspot, the SC53c N, which offers a similar beam style as the discontinued SC64 LE. The Nichia 519a LED has higher CRI and less green tint.

and One Throwy domeless LED with a tiny hot spot, the SC65c Hi. That serves a similar niche as the discontinuted SC64w Hi w Cree LED. The Nichia 719a LED has higher CRI and a tighter beam.

I look forward to the side by side comparisons of SC64w Hi and SC65c Hi.

Brighter than SC53c N on Lith-Ion. Could have gone a level up to 850 lumens but I can feel the temp at 660 lumens...

Seems a little more neutral than my 4000K 519a LED example but they vary in temp. 719a looks like 4500K but sure each one is a little different...

I’m a bit of a zl fanboy but I’m unpleasantly surprised that the latest 18650 only puts out 660…regret the preorder. Seems sadly not up to date?

It's not a pencil beam and very usable for inside the house use. Noticeably more throw than 519a version. I think they went 660 lumens partially as I feel the heat quicker than on the SC53c N version on Lith-Ion.

I’m guessing it’s around 1A at H1, a reviewer tested the Nichia 719A and at 1A he measured 627 lumens.
