The "Regular" Hound Dog Thread

The "Super" has a thread, the "Regular" needs some love too.

My 3 Hound Dogs, a Version 2 on an MD3, an 18650N on an MD2 and Mia. I've run the 18650 (reflectored with XPL) on an MD1.5 too and it's really a nice size. I'll get a pic posted. The 18650 is on the new style MD2 now and it looks great.

My backyard is 40 acres of wetlands. A neutral Hound Dog 18650 serves the bill perfectly for scanning for critters after dark. Love that light

I always wondered how you tell versions apart. I have two, one 'cool' and one "neutral", both around 1000 lumens.

I recall the much older ones were much lower lumens wise.

That HD MD 1.5 is really cool.
PoliceScanner pointed me to the Overready ZeroRez Shorty tailcap that allows you to use use an 18650 battery in an MD1.5....making it a twisty, too.

Them short bodies on them big heads look awesome. I have a V4 WC on a MD2 that is the coolest. Nice pictures.

I bet the Neutral WC has a nice beam tint. I still like that crisp cool light --but I'm thinking a warmer floody like the WC would be nice.

I installed bike grip on my 18650 HD. It looked much more balanced at that point. was more comfortable.
