It's hard to care about people when they won't help themselves or do the right things.

Kind'ah off topic, but being in AZ, (or other hot parts of the lower 48 for that matter) it's difficult NOT to be angry when I see a person walking their dog barefoot on hot pavement. I'd like to take their freakin shoes off. Then tell'um go ahead, walk! MF'r.

One morning, after a meeting, I took Calvin (RIP) for his last break. It was mid to late fall, around 10/11 AM. While approaching the parking lot (asphalt). I thought to myself, I should've put the kid's boots on. We were close enough, so as soon as we reached the asphalt. I placed the back of my hand on the asphalt to check it's temp. Which was good to go.

When I stood up. I saw this guy smilling (with a thumbs up), then told me it was good to see someone check if it was Ok for the dog.

My dog/s had two sets of shoes, and a booty (type folks use to protect the dogs feet from getting cut on the ice).

Yeah...I do the same thing, but barefoot

If you want a mosquito bite to ever heal - don't scratch it.

Two things work on this: 1) Heat. In SE Asia they have little heat guns meant for this. You put it over the bite, hold the trigger until you say "OW", repeat one more time, and within about 15 minutes the mosquito's saliva in your skin has been neutralized and no longer itches. 2) Rubbing alcohol (91%, please), with a bit of gentle scratching to work it in.

I usually give them a spray of rubbing alcohol. Eases the itching instantly.
Don't forget that a mist of rubbing alcohol will drop a mosquito before she can bite you. I mentioned it in another threat, but I'm reposting to help get the word out. We now keep these alcohol spray bottles ($1.42, btw) in the car and around the house and immediately drop any mosquito which dares invade our space. Lately at the fiancé's place, the mosquitoes have decided to hide in the bathroom, only revealing themselves when you find yourself in a position least able to defend yourself. The spray bottle fixes that problem nicely.
