What The Hell Is That?!

That's absolutely nuts. As of writing this (June 3, 2025), I can get JetA for $3.31/gallon, Avgas (100LL) $4.28/gal. Mogas Regular is $2.52, Premium is $3.02.

Sounds like the politicians in your state are too comfortable with their positions.
They've got their greedy little hands deep in our pockets and can't remove them due to their fists being closed.

Remember back about 4 years ago we were somewhwere north of four-hifty a gallon? That was nuts, paying around hifty bucks to fill the Jeep.

Sorry, I don't think I answered the question. It's that reading comprehension thing, creeping in again.

I found this in the middle of the street.

That, good sir, is a flange alignment tool; called a "Podgy Bar" in these parts. It's for mechanical persuasion of the heavy but precise type, and specifically for steel flanges. Used in construction, rigging, pipework and all manner of general trade applications.

I found this buried in the dirt at Granny's house. It's 7.5" inches long. The wheel is 1 1/8 inches wide.

I have no idea how long it has been buried in the dirt. Perhaps decades. It looks just as it did when I dug it up except for cleaning the dirt off. I have not polished it.
There is no discernible rust.
German Stainless Steel.

Very impressive how clean it looks.

Oh, I recognize that! That's a pie crust Edger.
You put fruit into the bottom of an uncooked pie crust. Then once it's full, you put a layer of soft, flat uncooked crust on top. Then you take the Edger. Run it all around the top layer of crust at the circular edge of the crust. That puts a nice design on the pie crust. But more importantly, it seals the top of the crust to the circular edge of the bottom of the crust. Creating an ideal seal for baking.

If you're asking what it is, it looks like what @bluflaam777 said, a leather tracing wheel. If you're asking what it was made from, looks almost like boot heel spurs.

**german stainless would likely mean that @bluflaam777 is the most correct, and it might be a cobbler's tool?

Or...is it SURGICAL stainless? :barf:
