I will start...

I don't have many, but it will keep growing.

Excellent collection. I really wish Gene could produce some different LED models and even some programmable features. I'd love to have a 3 mode programmable that could use both cr123 primaries and 16340 3.7v li-ions. Only model that accepts those batteries is the bodyguard V1

Not counting my spare MD2 head and M61W drop-in, I have two complete Malkoffs: MDC 16650 on the left, 18650 Hound Dog with Tri-Cap on the right. :)

I'm in no hurry (because these two lights cover most of what I need, flashlight-wise), but I'd still like to try the unshrouded CR123 MDC body and an MD3 body with my MD2 head.

He does have this head in 4000K 95CRI and CW. I am using 2 SF123A cells in it now in a 16650 body but can also use a single 16340 in a small body. I also use a dummy cell and a li-ion sometimes in the 16650 body. It does run on a standard single SF123A cell but with reduced output I haven't done a runtime test. I do know his website says 2 primaries only run 15 to 20 minutes or something like that, but I got well over an hour with used batteries and still had plenty of light.

What head is on the 16650?

Thanks for the info. I used to have this head and it's great, I plan on buying another. I did a runtime test on a Surefire rechargeable 450mah and got 20min on high before step down so I bet a primary will be around an hour which is great. I think this head is the best he offers IMO

I took some quick beamshots at 6 feet. Left to right...half used 123A primary. Middle Pic single RCR123A. Bottom pic 2 used 123A primaries. Next time I will use a fresh cell later tonight or tomorrow.

There are other options for e-series 18650 bodies without a reducer, but that would mean buying from a company other than Malkoff.
oveready ( which is not made anymore ) and lumensfactory... right? I can't recall any other E head C tail bodies
( modlite maybe? )

Lumens Factory is what I had in mind, and it's e series on both ends--basically a direct copy of a classic Surefire round body, but bored and reinforced for 18650. I have one of the E2 classic bodies on order to use with a VME head.
