Rechargable Flashlight for Rural Yard Use?

I understand your criteria is to utilize 18650s that you already have, but for the money you're talking about the Streamlight DS HPL is worthy of consideration. Daughter has rural property and uses it for what you're describing. Great throw and plenty of spill, long runtime, always charged and...

    When is enough, enough?

Enough is enough when ya got a drawer full of bang-zoom 4-digit lumen lights then come to the realization that yer G3 with a Malkoff M61LL is your favorite.

What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

I purchased a couple lights this week. Surefire M640DF and a second Streamlight Stinger DS HPL. The Surefire was because I wanted something to illuminate a decent size area to defend. The Streamlight is a housewarming gift for the daughter's new home in the country. The wall hanging charger...

Best EDC flashlight that you can depend on and why..

Re: Best EDC flashlight that you can depend on... I can buy whatever I want. I chose the Titan+. Small enough to fit in the watch pocket of jeans. If I need a little extra brightness in a AAA it's got it, and I like the finish and feel.

    Shopping in New York City?

According to their salespeople, you'll be like a kid in a candy store at B&H. Wife and I are also visiting, They said they had hundreds of flashlights on display and to play with. I have done a lot of business with B&H via the Net and phone. The people are great. I'm looking forward to it...

    a Man of Few Lights

This is much the way I see. Flashlight tech progression reminds me of desktop computers. By the time ya got the thing home and plugged in it was outdated with more powerful and useful computers. That finally leveled off. I think the same with flashlights for most folks.

What makes you pay more for a flashlight?

I'm willing to pay more when there is an American made alternative that meets the criteria. Example: Malkoff I'm willing to pay more when it uniquely meets the criteria. Example: Streamlight Stinger with wall hanger/charger.

Would You Lend Anyone Your Flashlight ?.

Wife has her own flashlights. She keeps a Surefire G2X in her vehicle Get Home pack. Surefire SideKick on her key chain. Streamlight Microstream in her purse. We share the Streamlight Stinger HPL that hangs by the back door and Surefire G3/M61LL in the kitchen drawer. She has guns too... I...

what is the most important feature for you in flashlights?

Different tasks, different flashlights... size, beam, brightness... on and on. Even dependability is on a sliding scale. I really don't care how reliable say... uh... the $5 cheapo flashlight is in my firearms cleaning box. If it fails I'll grab another. That's a lot different than the light I...

    Nitrolon is underrated

Hey flatline, Congrats locating a G3. Mine is as you describe other than the tailcap is marked only surefire.com. I purchased the G3 new from MidwayUSA nearly 10 years ago advertised as a "One Time Run". Maybe that accounts for the difference in tailcap markings. Mine came with a 105 lumen...
