Malkoff E2 Hyper thoughts and beamshots

I can't even put on here what I have done in my last job. However, it far exceeds those houses you were talking about. I have to leave it there. I will grab one of those E2HT heads and give it a try going to go 16650 most likely.

Malkoff E2 Hyper thoughts and beamshots

Thanks for the video, the beam shots were nice to compare. I am well aware about WML's as I have/do own a lot of them. I have a several of the 600 lumen Fury models on my rifles. I am not sure I would like the E2HT instead of the Surefire heads, unless I was shooting out past 100 yards I would...

Malkoff E2 Hyper thoughts and beamshots

Yes, pretty much what I though. I could deal with the tight hot spot, but the 6200K is ice blue, and if the 5500K is not a noticeable difference I am not sure if I will get one of them, time will tell.

Thanks, I will be going with the 16650 MDC with that E2HT.

    The Malkoff Front Porch

Anyone know the difference in approximate run time with the 16650 MDC and the CR123A MDC bodies/cells? I have been looking at these since they came out. I am thinking the 16340 cell just wont be enough, but the 16650 should work pretty well. Maybe 20 minutes 16340, and 45 minutes 16650?

    Cr123a questions

I might be one of the most reckless people here, willing to speak at least. I never have had a problem in the last 20 years mixing and matching 123A cells. I throw them in a light and go. The only problem I had was about 15 years ago when I made my first light and with Lithium Ion not Lithium...

I am using a pair of kids scissors, I am able to torque it down very tight though. So tight the blades bend so much I am worried they are going to break into pieces. After thinking about this, I think the tool is needed. I can crank the puppy until the lens pops out. I have spares...:D:D

    E2 Hyper Throw?

Surefire is no joke, I am really glad I kept some of mine. I wont sell anymore of them. I will be looking at the Defender now. I was going to go the 16650 Malkoff E2 Hyper route, but I like smoother hotspots with reflectors, so I am going to investigate them now. Does the SF Defender even...

Yes, I unscrew the head to swap it around to either a MD4 body for really long run times, or just to change the 18650, because the McClicky eats the bottom of those cells up. It is quite loose and shaking the head back and forth it rattles pretty loud. I will buy the tool Malkoff sells and...

    The Malkoff Front Porch

I have a question about the retaining rings (The low/high or standard, single mode rings.) I bought the WCV6, Hound Dog Super, and an MD2 M61N. Of all the three lights none of the two low/high retaining rings in the WCV6 or the Hound Dog Super have loosened up yet. However, My MD2 M61N has...

It could be possible, without being held and no air movement it gets really hot.

Do I have abnormal eyes ?

I could go on, and on with this topic. Most of you guys/gals are very correct in the reasons 5000K or 4000K can all look different. The main variable is that everyone has variables in their eyes. Don't look at Kelvin only to make a light purchase you also need the tint. For many emitters out...

repair for stuck Surefire 6P tailcap?

I mess around and try to fix my stuff too like on the video. If it were me however, I would still also have them send me a new tailcap. Now that I think back something like over a decade ago I had a L1 digital Lumamax with only one brightness setting. (I think it was that model) and I remember...

Looking for 1,000+ Lumens & 3 hour burn time??? Recommend

Not an easy EDC for sure (but I have) but my Olight X7 does 1,000 lumens for 6.5 hours. Of course I have never used it that way, my uses are different so I use it at 9,000 lumens if I need that much of a flood light. The other options above like carrying spare cells is a better option most...
