The local OC paper (where these laser incidents seem to be happening a lot lately) is really jumping on the article bandwagon for lasers. Every day they are stating something about them and now this article has made the top story on their web site...

Funny how the title said he was arrested for a laser ATTACK. How many did he kill on his laser attack rampage? The title of the this almost sounds like he had a gun and killed people. I know what he did was stupid and he needs to be prosecuted but the media is...

I just wanted to point out that I am seeing this type of thing being reported in the news (lasers being pointed at aircraft/cars/buildings/etc) more and more as people without a thought in their head are able to get their hands on cheap(er) lasers and do obviously...

Well, both of mine had a flickering problem and would go to about 50% brightness when moved around.
So after cleaning the contacts and trying to make it work, I sodered a couple of strands (actually 1-2 strands) of copper wire to the solder blob that already exists on the head contact and laid...
I have two of these lights and love them. After doing the copper wire fix, it is really bright.

When my unit is on, I can see a pretty good haze of dust or something on the inside of the glass lens.
Has anyone opened up their unit to clean the inner side of the glass? If so, how hard was it and do you have instructions?
