    Sold/Expired WTB Fenix LD25

Thanks!! Yeah its a nice design, I modded my first one with a 5K tint XP-G3 and the output is insane. Goes toe to toe with the ~360L mode on my E35UE, its slightly brighter actually... pulling 3A from two eneloops. I'm looking for a second one to mod. I have the first generation E21 with...

Not a lot of Streamlight love? Why?

To many CR123 only designs. Nothing special, different, uniquely appealing about their AA lights.

Maglite LED with dead bulb - help.

... alternately you could post a WTB thread on the marketplace or DIY marketplace. TONs of mag modders out there, I am positive others will have the parts you need. I did that once, wanting to mod my 2AA minimag with the LED pill from the 2D, and make it a single mode 2AA, ON-Off only. Turns...

    Flashlight Purchasing: Patriot or Cosmopolitanist

I don't think its possible to vote for option 1, since parts, components and often times circuit board assemblies are not made in any single country. I buy designs that meet my personal preferences. I also buy from manufacturers and retailers who stand behind their products. I don't care what...

I still think the original Dereelight typeIII in gray, and the short lived Malkoff MD2 in gray http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/9851/dereelight012smallhb9.jpg http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/5497/dereelight006smallrn1.jpg http://eklundconstruction.com/MMCE1.jpg...

    Surefire Clicky Switches?

My e-series clicky has been fine. I use it with a 17670 cell, which I think weighs slightly more that 2x primaries. SF pretty much nailed it with the re-design a few years ago. (Black switch guts with metal collar reinforcement, raised shoulder in the battery tube to alleviate the...

Battery Vampires - Lights that you can feed your "dead" cells to, listing..

Re: Surefire A2 Aviator - A Battery Vampire? If you are referring to the older incan A2, the 5mm LEDs are resistor-direct driven. So yes they will run the cell down to near-nothing. I have done it before, but I don't make it a habit. I just toss the cells into the recycle bin... and try not...

    I have a 3.7 2200mAh Li-Ion battery. Is it ok for cree xp-g R5 led

no you can't directly connect that LED to the 18650. Yes you will need a resistor or driver circuit in between to regulate current/power to the LED.

    Have you owned a SureFire?

Yes I currently own a G2, 6P, E2L, M2, A2-incan. I try and stick with their smaller lights that accept rechargable cells. I stay away from their designs (and anyone else for that matter) that only use primary CR123. I also stay away from their bigger + brighter lights, I don't see as much...
