Decided to finally dedome my H53c N. After denting and scratching the bezel with a blade I inadvertently cracked the glass.. should have just broke it right away to save some cosmetic damage--but that bezel was on there tight. Either way, I'm loving the result: super rosey tint with a nice...

I just wish click+hold (when the light is on) ramped up through sub-modes as well! I sometimes forget if double-click makes it brighter or not lol

I use my Fenix HL50 (long discontinued, I spent a decent amount of time sourcing spares to no avail): https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/zebralight-mods.293092/post-5169400 For H600s, the ArmyTek Wizard mount works well...

I've owned both, but not concurrently. Nothing seemed off though and the modes seemed to match well with other lights. FWIW I like using 0.05, 1, 3, 10, 50, and 230 (approximately) for my modes.

Remember friends, this a flashlight forum....we are a bunch of nerds obsessing over minute details. Let's not take ourselves and eachother  too seriously. Cheers ❤️

On the listing: What's new: New driver circuitry with improved efficiency Larger and better spec'd key components 0.5mm shorter This definitely warrants the design increment from 4 to 5. I suspect the Nichia 53s use the same circuit. @Bob_McBob count me in as a maybe--I like my SC64w Hi but...

Minor update on my H53c N: Loving the tint. Feels a bit warmer compared with my other 4000K options. Reds and woods look great. Still tempted to dedome though... Also, the new switch bezel makes it easier to find the switch, I'll take that as an upgrade.

Nice share as usual, @jon_slider! I tend to disagree about the spill being narrower on the floody. At the 80 degree mark, the spot/spill pattern is brighter than floody, but abruptly ends, where floody gradually fades until about 90 degrees, and is brighter for a wider area under the tripod. You...

Appreciate the courtesy, hah. Yes that's definitely one reason to avoid the floody beam. I personally prefer the floody beam, easier on the eyes and I found a bouncing hot spot nauseating.

It's a privacy sticker for frosting glass. Just a way to diffuse a beam. If you look closely at the lens in the pic, you'll notice there's a sticker on it. https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/self-adhesive-dc-fix-diffuser-install-instructions-w-pics.334755/

Thanks! IME, the best option, even when ZL was shipping to Canada it saved me $. My only complaint is they seem to change the price of their lights depending on availability. I've made 7 purchases and 3 returns, all great. Shipping was normally less than two weeks, only this last one was long...

It's been a long time since I've posted here, nice to catch up! Got an H53c N to replace my H53c from 2017 (my first ZL!) and wanted to share. My first flashlight purchase since late 2019 aside from a Convoy. Part of me already regrets selling the sentimental H53c, but recuperating a chunk of...

    The Mode Memory Management Problem

ZebraLight is pretty good for this. I know for sure if the light will turn on to L, M, or H based on the programming I set up. What I don't like is I often forget if a double click will inc or dec brightness, particularly in the medium modes (not often an issue with low or high modes though...

    Lumen creep

Depending on the use, more lumens just aren't needed..when out in the woods, I bring my ZebraLight H53Fc only, as I prefer the lighter weight on my head. Note that I don't anticipate hiking in the dark, and one L91 cell lasts a few trips (still pack a backup). When doing work around the...
