Yesterday my grandson got hooked on flashlights from carrying my Streamlight UltraStinger while we took the dogs for a walk. His eyes opened up a bit when I told him the light is used mostly by police. He found he could reach way down the road lighting things up. Big smiles on his face. :)

Those old time switchman's lights are probably becoming valuable now, hang on to them. Switch men were quite particular about their lights, lots of maintenance to keep them working. :)
I'm just gonna throw this out there- led light temperature itself may be a problem in locating animal fur colours. I first became aware of the color deficiencies of LEDs while checking out throw into a spruce tree on my neighbours lot a few years ago.
My 6p surefire Incan lit up the spruce...
