    2mw eye safe?

It is safe, to a certain degree. 5mw is the cut off, because they believe that anything above 5mw is dangerous. That being said 2mw can damage your eye, but you would have to stare directly at it. An accidental flash should be countered by your eye's blink reflex. I have been flashed by 15mw and...

    DX: 200mW Flashlight-Style Green Laser (18650)

Yes. I have experience with these too, and they work well. I don't know anything about the dx ones, I wouldn't trust them, until I saw some reviews.

BLU-RAY LASER AT KD FOR >$550???

Eyewear for DX 200mw red laser...?

I have heard good things about wicked shades, but I have no first hand experience with them. I have no idea how to read their graph, but it looks like it has a OD of 5 for only $50 plus shipping. http://www.wickedlasers.com/lasers/Red_650nm_Sport_Elite_Goggles-18-16.html

    DX: 200mW Flashlight-Style Green Laser (18650)

I have heard that there has been a greater risk in the past of customs seizing products with EMS shipping than regular Air Mail. But I have no first hand experience.

    Best 75-95mw laser?

For that power range, I would highly recommend laser goggles. As in if you don't use them and you get hit in the eye you're blind, recommend.

    Best 75-95mw laser?

Lots of people knock wicked and say that they are bad, but I have had good experience with them. However, although they make a quality laser, they are not the best value. Wicked=good quality + expensive The other companies are all good, and probably cheaper.

Blu Ray vs HD DVD Diodes

I know his has been brought up as a possiblity before, but has anyone tried making a laser using a HD DVD diode? Since the victory of Blu Ray over HD DVD, I have seen some incredibly low prices for HD DVD. Supposely they both are in the 405 nm spectrum, according to wikipedia...

200mw NEW red laser from deal extreme

Would it be ok to use rechargeable CR2? I know they put out more voltage than 3V and can burn things out. But do you think it would be ok on this laser? If not what batteries do you recommend that wouldn't bust the bank?

More in the news about so called "Laser Attacks"

http://www.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnoughNews/idUSN0621886420080307?feedType=RSS&feedName=oddlyEnoughNews Canada is probing all the laser incidents since 2005 involving planes. It isn't good, when in the headline they call them "laser attacks." It gives a bad name to the hobby. On the other...

    Recommend a quality laser

I would recommend getting one from nova lasers. I don't own one myself but I have only heard good things about them. And with them unlike other companies, you won't get any IR (which is bad). You can get a nova x-50 for about $120.

DVD burners that rock for diodes.

As far as I know hard drives use magnets not lasers. I do not believe that there are any lasers in hard drives.

Is there a place you can buy the LM317 driver? I have no experience in making circuit boards.
