    Zebralight SC700d 21700 XHP70.2 90+CRI

Never mind. I thought the SC700d (non floody) was back in stock. I was mistaken.

Topping off: A major advantages of rechargeable batts. How often do you top off?

For all the work you put in to protect your batteries from a slightly faster decline, you could instead spend that time working a part-time job and then use a part of the extra money you earn to buy replacement batteries more frequently. Another advantage would be that you'd always have...

So how come 26650 batteries don't have higher mAH ratings?

18650 batteries have maximum capacities of 3400 mAH and higher. In theory, the maximum capacity of a given size battery should be proportional to its volume. So a 26650 battery, which has a volume that's (26/18)**2 = 2.08 times the volume of an 18650 battery, should in theory have a maximum...

    Zebralight SC600Fd III Plus - XHP50

I'm not sure if anyone else has already posted this, but there's a Buy it Now (with free shipping) listing on Ebay for the Zebralight SC600Fd Mk III Plus XHP50. The listing says that "More than 10" are available. The price is $114, but with the "Make Offer" option available. I offered $107.50...

    Zebralight H600F c/d mk3 85cri and XM-L 2?

Makes you wonder how ZL staff knows what they're shipping out when there are different versions of the same light. Or how resellers know. There's absolutely no marking on the shipping box to indicate the model, unless it got covered over by the shipping label. Oh, wait, I peeled up the "USPS...

    Zebralight H600F c/d mk3 85cri and XM-L 2?

Stupid question: How do you know whether your H600F III is a "c" or a "d"? I ordered a "c", but the only marking I see is what looks like the characters "ce" on the back (except that the "e" has a rounded back [just like the "c"]. Does the "d" have a different symbol? Edit: See the top...

*2016* ZebraLight SC63 and variants like the SC63w

Well, I purchased three CRI-96 XHP70s from Cutter (see the 1st LED in the second row). And I had Vinh create a custom TK75 from them. The TK75 reflectors are clear, so there's a small donut hole. But the color rendition is startling. I think that with an orange peel reflector one could make...

    Zebralight SC600Fd III Plus - XHP50

A color temperature of 4 million wouldn't be visible to the human eye. Assuming you had any eyes left after your head was flash-burned to a crisp.

    ZL SC62c High-CRI, 1x18650, 320lm

I think the "High-CRI" descriptor in the thread title is a bit misleading. CRI-85 is "higher CRI," not "High CRI. I have a custom CRI-96 flashlight, and when A-B'ed against the SC62c the difference is pretty dramatic. That said, the SC62c is - by far - my favorite flashlight.

*2016* ZebraLight SC63 and variants like the SC63w

I'm thinking the same thing. But the reality of the situation is that a couple of years from now there will be a new LED that allows ZL to create a CRI-95 "SC64d" that produces 1400 lumens, with a run-time of three hours on high. I seriously doubt any of us will be able to resist.

And now there's a 2.1A option with no step-down. By the way, the S3 is now back in stock.

Why do high CRI LEDs tend to be small?

Actually, they are each on an aluminum star.

Why do high CRI LEDs tend to be small?

There are actually high-CRI bins for the Cree XHP70 LED, which as far as I know is the highest-lumen LED out there right now. I just purchased some 5000k, CRI-96 XHP70 LEDs from Cutter. They're rated at 1290 lumens.
