    I've just discovered that my switch boot is so deforme that the little plunger is able to rattle around and come out of position. The light doesnt want to come on when the plunger is sideways. Has anyone found a source for a working boot that doesnt involve buying a DX light?

    I managed to get it apart and expected to find a load of crud in there but it was perfectly clean. The switch on its own didnt show any signs of stiffness and since putting it back together I havent have any further problems. I think I'll have to get the Quark AA^2 just in case the C8 fails...

    You can cut that time down by not releasing the button when you want to change modes. Press it and hold it in and the light will change modes every 2 seconds. Release when you are at the mode you want.

    what does this mean?

    It means that the shipper has created the label/shipping info and it us registered with the shipper but they do no have the package yet. i.e. Fedex or UPS you can go online to print your labels and register that you want a pick up, but they havent actually laid hands on the package yet.
