its been a long time since i posted.
so here's my suggestion.
for handheld lights:
1) more robust lanyard loops
2) removable grip rings for the Partner series?
3) smoother beam profile like those from the Wizard series (i own the Wizard I with the newer plastic headband clip:rolleyes:)
4)...
sorry I din turn up for the latest outing, preferred to watch the Walking Dead. :grin2: lol, Zeruel, what did you do to the humble E01? any of you folks living near Yishun? was wondering what happened to Old Bah Soon Pah Road....
Pelican M6 is a nice workhorse, the switch boot is surprisingly long lasting. still good today as it was since i bought it in 2003.
glad to know you have decided on your light, Solarforce L2T, maybe good if you also ordered spare parts like the bezel (some going at a discount) & extra switch...
personally, i would opt to go with any single-output Solarforce light with a grip ring & get Blackhawk's Mod-U-Lok holster.
Pelican M6 (3W version) is quite outdated, & only an updated drop-in will do, which adds to the cost. it comes with a holster that carries a set of spare batteries, but...
Streamlight Sidewinder Compact & Compact II (runs on 1AA) is worth a look. like the Zebralights, its a all-in-one unit with no cables or cords, which may snag onto stuff.
served as a conscript in the past, personally i would try to avoid getting headlamps with cables. i have the Sidewinder & i...
i do not work in an aircraft, but Streamlight Sidewinder ("Aviation" model) do have a few features you are looking for.
i have the older version that puts out 20 lumens max for the primary (white) LED with a runtime of 7hrs. starts out low, then steps up to high. i use Scotch "Magic" tape under...
it would be good if the brick-&-mortar store has a test sample one can switch on & shine around. ideally, also bring the lights one is familiar with for comparison.
having owned & used the Blackhawk Mod-U-lok holster, i would be inclined to get any handheld light spotting or searchlight to fit...
get well soon Hyperloop!!
nice to know others are stepping in to organise outings as well.
as long as there are places to go, there will be local CPFers. but there are less places to go now. which is sad. :mecry:
how about Streamlight Microstream?
- forward clickie
- 28 lumens (2hr15min ANSI runtime)
- 2-way pocket clip
in some ways better but in other ways not?
- bigger than E05
- no lanyard or split ring loop attachment
- spot/spill beam profile
hmmm, there isn't many options i know of with a red blinking LED.
how about Streamlight Sidewinder Compact II (there's an older version)?
i do not own this light, but i have the non-compact version, 1st generation.
the Sidewinder Compact II is:-
- simple enough to use,
- not much bigger...
would be good if holster options are not forgotten.
have you ever thought of adding a hands-free illumination? like a right-angle light from Zebralight? it does a good job clipped in the upright position on the belt. the light can also be placed off-centre, while the angle of the light can be...

Re: Flashaholic Getogether in Singapore! PART-IV (4) Graves and Tombstones.

other landmarks include P.I.E...
